Ajen Monitoring Systems Pty Ltd are leaders in the delivery of innovative solutions to address community needs when it comes to alcohol monitoring systems. We are the proud Australian franchisee of Smart Start Inc., actively promoting and distributing our range of alcohol monitoring solutions across Australia.

Ajen have installed over 30,000 alcohol interlocks in Australia and supplied numerous portable Alcohol Monitoring devices to assist with family court orders or directives associated with community corrections orders. We have expanded to now include a range of personal breath testers to assist workplaces and individuals measure alcohol usage.

New products are always being evaluated to further consolidate our position as the leaders in alcohol monitoring.

 

Refund, Return & Repair Policy

At Ajen Monitoring Systems we want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchase. If you would like to return a product to us for any reason, please contact us first to discuss it so that we will be better able to assist you.

We recommend you read our Refund, Return & and Repairs Policy prior to making a purchase from Ajen Monitoring Systems, so you are familiar with our policy on refunds, returns, repairs, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

We also recommend you immediately inspect any goods that we deliver to you or that you collect from our Service Centres to ensure you are completely satisfied with the goods, including that the goods are of acceptable quality, and match the description we have provided you.

Change of Mind

Please choose carefully as refunds are not normally provided in cases where you change your mind, make a wrong decision or simply find the goods cheaper elsewhere. We recommend you carefully preview any orders before adding them to your shopping cart and proceeding with your order.

Customers will be responsible for all postage charges for items returned under a change of mind.

 

Consumer Guarantees and Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

All goods sold in Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australia Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

There are nine consumer guarantees that apply to goods you purchase:

  1. Acceptable quality
  2. Fit for a particular purpose
  3. Match description
  4. Match the sample or demonstration model
  5. Express warranties will be honoured
  6. Spare parts and repairs facilities will be available for a reasonable time after purchase
  7. Title to the goods
  8. Undisturbed possession of the goods
  9. No undisclosed securities on the goods

Consumer guarantees cannot be excluded and are in addition to any extended warranty you purchase or any voluntary warranty (warranty against defects) you are given.

There may be circumstances where you are not entitled to a remedy.

Goods Damaged in Transit

If any goods arrive damaged, please contact our sales team as soon as possible. Ajen Monitoring Systems will arrange to have the damaged goods returned to our Head Office and either arrange for a replacement of the goods or refund the price to you. Damaged goods must be returned in the condition received by you with all original packaging, accessories and/ or manuals.

Refunds

Refunds will be made by Ajen Monitoring Systems via bank transfer. Refunds will normally be processed within 15 business days.

Delivery Charges

Where Ajen Monitoring Systems considers the goods have breached a consumer guarantee, any shipping costs to return the goods to Ajen Monitoring Systems will be at Ajen Monitoring Systems’ cost.

Return and Repairs

You may return goods we have delivered to you by mail by contacting our sales team.

You may also contact or attend the Ajen Monitoring Systems head office and a staff member will assist you with any returns or repair. This may include inspecting the goods, arranging the goods to be sent for repair, or providing you with a replacement.

Goods must be returned within a reasonable time (maximum 30 days). This timeframe may vary from product to product and may depend on the type of product you purchased and the price paid.

Goods returned for repair will be assessed and/or repaired within a reasonable time. You may be provided with an indicative repair time, which may vary due to reasons beyond ours or the repairer’s reasonable control, such as part availability and incorrect fault description.

In some circumstances, goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired.

  • Discounted items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Returned items must be returned in original packaging
  • Returned items must have no visible signs of wear or use
